What is Peace Boat?
Peace Boat is a Japan-based, international non-governmental and non-profit organization with special consultative status with the United Nation’s Economic and Social Council.
Peace Boat works to promote peace, human rights, equal and sustainable development and respect for the environment through the organization of global educational programmes, cooperative projects and advocacy activities.
The first voyages were organized in 1983 by a group of Japanese university students from a desire to build greater bonds of mutual respect and understanding among the people of Asia, focusing on cultural exchange.
Peace Boat has organized more than 90 global and regional voyages, taken over 50,000 participants on board and visited over 200 ports of call.
101st Global Cruise
2019 April 25 – August 1
- Hong Kong
A city that never sleeps, Hong Kong is bursting with an energy that never fails to exhilarate visitors. A dazzling city of futuristic skyscrapers set against the shimmering Victoria Harbor, a sophisticated fusion of East and West, a shopper’s paradise, the business financial hub proudly flaunts—and deserves—the title of Asia’s World City.
One of the most breathtaking natural phenomena is the total solar eclipse. For a fleeting moment, the moon obscures the sun and completely blocks its light. The ship will travel to the perfect location to observe the eclipse on 2 July 2019.
Witness the extraordinary craftsmanship of the pyramids, the last-standing Ancient Wonder of the World. They were built to last forever, as the Ancient Egyptians believed they would protect the spirits of the pharaohs. Indeed, the 4000-year-old monuments are a testament to the lasting legacy and achievements of Ancient Egypt.
Though officially part of Chile, Easter Island is completely isolated: it lies 3,000 kilometres away from the mainland. Over 800 enigmatic mo’ai structures stand silently across the terrain, offering no clues about their origin or what happened to the once-flourishing Polynesian civilization that called the island home. Here, you can meet the descendants of the indigenous Rapa Nui people and hear the legends of this storied island.
100th Global Cruise
2018 December 26 – 2019 March 31
The island of Madagascar is an oasis, boasting an incredible diversity of plants and animals including the dancing sifaka lemur, the beautiful blue coua bird, and the black-and-yellow streaked tenrec. Most of this island’s wildlife can’t be found anywhere else in the world.
Iguazú Falls stretches for three kilometres along the border of Brazil and Argentina, where the Iguazú River spills down from the Paraná Plateau. Faint rainbows of light and the crashing sound of over 200 waterfalls lend this place an otherworldly aura.
Upgrade your trip for an additional journey to the great wilderness of Antarctica. For centuries, the continent has attracted daring explorers and adventurers, and you’ll see why: its vast beauty, uninhabited plains, and scores of rare wildlife are impossible to resist.
99th Global Cruise
2018 September 1 - December 17
Travel by ship to the Aurora Belt These symphonies of light in the night sky can only been seen in the northern and southern extremes of the planet. The Pearl of the Adriatic.
Beautiful Streetscapes and Oysters. Visit the beautiful Croatian destination of Dubrovnik and soak up the conic Mediterranean views of terracotta streets reminiscent of Europe's Middle Ages.Enjoy the beauty of this historical fort town and take in the deep blue of the Adriatic as it contrasts with the rich hues of the city's terracotta roofs. The limestone in the castle fort is so worn and polished that people say the moon's reflection can be seen even when it rains. One of Dubrovnik's other charms is the stunning seafood it offers to discerning connoisseurs. Taste the finest cuisine, enjoyed with some wine, as you look out over the Adriatic.
